Are you interested in animal welfare? Let’s get to know each other and try to change things together! I’m putting on this casual meet up there because I haven’t met many animal people in KC (yet!).
I’m personally interested in plant-based advocacy with schools or hospitals and improving farmed animal welfare if that gives you a sense of what I’m thinking, but I want to hear all of your thoughts, ideas, and experiences if you have any!
The meet up is free and welcome to anyone! You can RSVP through EventBrite, but you do not need to. You do not need to be plant-based, and you don’t need to know anything about animals already! You are welcome to bring kids, and it’s totally okay if you need to show up late or leave early.
Let’s meet at the pavilion at Loose Park! I will have some small sign(s) with me that says ‘Animal Welfare Meet Up.’ I’ll bring some sliced fruit and perhaps other plant snacks. Let me know if you need anything or have questions!
